B & B opened its doors in August of 2018 and has been servicing the northern Virginia region ever since. Originally based out of Sola Salons, B & B transitioned to a larger studio space just down the road at Allure Salon Suites in 2020 and finally opened a storefront in downtown in early 2022! Our team specializes in blonding services, bridal hair, and hand tied extensions.

Stylists

Rachel started taking hair classes in 2013 and has been a licensed hairdresser since 2015. After spending a year assisting and doing hair on the side, she moved to Los Angeles, CA to further her education with a new foundation from the Toni & Guy Academy. There she studied directly under cutting master David Evans (National Creative Director) and award winning colorist Courtney Greenday.

In 2017, Rachel moved back to Virginia and accepted a job working behind the chair at a high end salon in north Stafford. By summer of 2018, she had transitioned into salon ownership by opening Bangs & Boujee Salon Studio where she took clients 4-6 days a week and traveled some weekends for weddings. In 2021 she expanded to a boutique storefront in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. She now takes clients 4 days a week, trains her assistant 2 days a week, and runs all of the behind the scene operations that come with a full service salon and growing team!

Rachel’s continuing education includes hands on techniques and classes from Lisa Walker, Emmanuel Andrade, Victor Valverde, Mariah Cloke, Judith Viola, Nicole Higgins, Sarai Speer, and many others. She has graduated from the BBC Master boot camp class, is Brazilian Blowout Certified, Systeme Volume Extension Certified (currently not offering this service), hand tied extension certified, and a Halo Couture Extensions distributor. Her specialties include hand tied extensions, color corrections, and blonding services.

Mia has been a licensed stylist since January 2023 and has actively worked in the beauty industry since 2021. She is certified in hand-tied extensions, which showcases her dedication to her craft, and she has a deep passion for blonding, creating lived-in color, and making her clients feel confident and beautiful when leaving the salon. Throughout her career, she has pursued numerous advanced education opportunities to enhance her skills, with her favorite being the hands-on techniques she learned from the renowned stylist Wayne Tuggle. In her free time she favors spending time with her husband, son, and her dog, Leeroy.

Allie joined Bangs and Boujee in May 2025 as a Tier 3 stylist. She has been in the industry since 2020 and began working behind the chair in 2021. Allie holds a Virginia Cosmetology License and is certified in Brazilian Blowouts and Kovi sew-in extensions (2024). She specializes in blonding, brunette color, and lived-in looks, with a focus on creating soft, dimensional results that are both polished and easy to maintain. Allie takes a thoughtful, technique-driven approach to each service, aiming for color that complements your natural features and fits your day-to-day routine. When Allie is off the clock, she enjoys baking bread! Ask her about what books she’s reading and her go to coffee order!

Abbie has been in the beauty industry since 2023 and became part of the Bangs & Boujee family in September 2025. She specializes in high-impact blondes and seamless, lived-in color while also bringing an expertise in bridal and formal event styling to ensure you look polished for all of life’s big moments. Every detail is important to Abbie so she takes extra care and collaborates closely with each guest to create looks that complement their lifestyle, facial features, and personal aesthetic.

Abbie has completed Redken color classes and multiple advanced hair cutting courses to stay current with new techniques and industry advancements. As of September 2026, she will additionally be certified with Bellami for sew in extensions and K Tips! When she’s not behind the chair, Abbie enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé and daughter at their home in the country.

AdministrativE team

Alyssa started at Bangs & Boujee as a receptionist in January 2024 and has since grown into her role as Salon Manager. A VCU alum with a degree in Marketing Communications, she brings her passion for creativity, communication, and the beauty industry into everything she does. For over two years, Alyssa has been one of the friendly faces welcoming clients through the doors. She loves creating a positive, welcoming environment for everyone who steps in our salon and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Make sure you ask her about our coffee menu at your next visit (she makes the best lattes)!

Destiny is a proud Virginia Tech alum with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She joined the Bangs and Boujee team in August 2024 as a receptionist, quickly making her mark by diving into events and marketing. Now based in Florida and working fully remote, Destiny plays a key role behind the scenes—managing marketing efforts, planning our events, and bringing the salon’s brand to life online. She’s the creative force behind most of our social media content and the go-to coordinator for, well… all the things!
